Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement (6 months). Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to a multidisciplinary team at the Sensing and Analytics group of ABB in Baden-Dättwil, Aargau, Switzerland. Main stakeholders are Electrification division.You will be mainly accountable for:• Exploration of current challenges in Marine or Ports via direct interaction with ABB R&D units• Review of academic literature• Design, evaluation and documentation of potential solutions• Quick prototyping of solutions through proof-of-concept implementations

Qualifications for the role
 

  • Currently pursuing a degree (enrollment to 5th semester or higher is essential) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or similar field
  • You are at ease communicating in English
  • You are interested in at least one of the following fields: data analytics, machine learning, computer vision
  • You are confident in handling Python and PyTorch, preferably also ROS2
  • You are able to think conceptually and express ideas clearly and convincingly
  • You hold a current valid VISA/work permit for Switzerland or a confirmation for a mandatory internship from your university
